Organic essential oil BASIL TROPICAL is obtained by steam distillation of leaves – Ocimum basilicum (MC). It comes into Amon & Anis bottles from organic plantations of tropical basil in India. This essential oil is certified organic.
There are several botanical species of basil used for the distillation of essential oil. Our basil essential oil is a distillate of tropical basil and is different from the basil that usually grows in our gardens, so BE CAREFUL! It is a variety that contains up to 80% methylchavicol, so it can only be used in very low concentrations and NEVER orally or for culinary consumption. Tropical basil essential oil is only suitable for properly educated users and under the supervision of a qualified professional! Due to its unique power, we must be VERY CAREFUL when using it.
Basil’s herbal, strong and sweet scent maintains alertness and clarity of thought when we are studying or need to concentrate. It stimulates the nervous system, strengthening self-confidence and integrity. It is a very efficient “shield” against all sorts of toxic emotions that try to stick to us from the outside. It has strong antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties, so by evaporating in a diffuser, we can thoroughly purify the air and strengthen our immune system, although it has to be diffused in very low concentrations. It is also used in products for massage and relaxation of tired muscles. It works great as a cleaner for kitchen counters and sinks or for removing unpleasant odors in the bathroom.

We recommend the base oil to be unrefined, cold pressed and of organic quality. The best and most common choice are jojoba, olive, sesame, almond or coconut oil.

Besides the pleasant aroma, many essential oils also have antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, which is why they are added to cleaning products, detergents, for laundry and air fresheners.
