The Vegan Society has given us the Vegan certificate for our vegan organic cosmetics products. After two months of intensive research about the origin of ingredients we use in our vegan products, we can finally apply the Sunflower Vegan logotype on the labels. So, from now on we are verified vegan also for those vegans who reject the use of the beeswax (which is the only animal ingredient we use in our cosmetics).

However, The Vegan logo does not only mean that the product does’t contain ingredients of animal origin. It also ensures that the product is not tested on animals. Moreover, each ingredient in the product is not tested on animals and in the process of obtaining the raw materials no animal was exploited. We already know how inhumane palm fat farming is because of deforestation and orangutan killing. But the fact that monkeys are forced to pick coconuts for coconut oil was something new to us too. Well, coconuts for our coconut oil does not exploit monkeys – certified.

For the end let us invite you to the biggest vegan festival in Slovenia – Vegafest, which will be held on Saturday, May 6 at Pogačarjev market in Ljubljana. You could try Amon & Anis products at our market stand. And some products will surprise those who will attend vegan tombola.

Laboratory testing of our Sunscreens has confirmed a sun protection factor SPF 30, UVA+UVB protection and that our sunscreens are WATER RESISTANT.
Sunscreens are NANO PARTICLES FREE since natural mineral zinc oxide, which protects from the sun, is not in nano form. And that’s not all!

Amon & Anis organic products just got PETA’s Beauty without bunnies certificate. American organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 5 million members and supporters. Our labels will soon be richer for two logotypes; PETA-Cruelty free logo which states that ingredients and products were not tested on animals and PETA-Cruelty free and vegan logo for vegan products.

This year we successfully shared our place of presentation with our friends from the Herbal farm Hanuman between the many providers of natural and organic products at the Altermed fair in Celje. It is nice to see many people from our country trying to make a better world, which gives us fresh stamina to go on with our project. Our place was full of totem animals waving from our products and we also had some great help from Lara. We thank all who entered into our world and took a product or two home.

 

 

 

We have gained organic certification for all of our products by IKC Institute for control and certification UM (IKC UM Maribor) with the exception of air fresheners, which cannot be certified, as they are not declared as cosmetic products (they are still produced from organic ingredients, which we use for our other products). Certificate on the labels is indicated by „ekološka kozmetika“ (which means organic cosmetics) logotype. So far it is not translated into English.

„Consistent with the requirements of the standard, the certified organic cosmetic products contain at least 95% natural ingredients, from which at least 95% of ingredients of agricultural origin has to be derived from certified organic agriculture (Council Regulation (ES) nr. 834/2007 or other comparable standards) and no more than 5% of ingredients of synthetic origin, and these are limited and regulated by the standard. Also, with this standard a minimal share of organic ingredients in the final cosmetic product is prescribed.“

We happily announce, that we surpass these criteria, because our cosmetics is 100% natural and at least 98% organic.
