CERTIFICATE ORGANIC PRODUCTION (essential oils – food grade)
CERTIFIED BY
Institute KON-CERT Maribor
Institute KON_CERT is the leading certification body in Slovenia in the field of certification of organic production and processing of agricultural products and foodstuffs.
DESCRIPTION
Organic farming is a method of agricultural production that takes into account the balance in the soil-plant-animal-human system and ensures a closed loop of nutrients and energy within it. The reasons for organic farming are primarily safe and healthy food, environmental protection, concern for animal welfare and the promotion of biodiversity. An agricultural product or food can be labeled as organic if it is certified. The conditions for obtaining the certificate are set by European legislation, which is directly applicable in all EU member states, and by national legislation. The most important characteristics of organic farming:
· the use of pesticides and easily soluble mineral fertilizers is forbidden
· prescribed crop rotation and prohibition of the use of genetically modified organisms
· planned fertilization and preservation of soil fertility with organic fertilizers
· selection of resistant plant species adapted to the local environment

CERTIFICATE VEGAN
CERTIFIED BY
The Vegan Society
The Vegan Society, an international vegan organization based in the UK, was founded in 1944. The organization advocates for a world where humans do not exploit animals for their own benefit. To promote their vision, they offer a certificate to like-minded companies, which is well-known as the sunflower logo.
DESCRIPTION
Vegan products registered with The Vegan Society are rigorously reviewed (a thorough review of documentation):
· may not contain animal raw materials, by-products or animal derivatives
· are not tested on animals and do not exploit animals in any other way
· without genetically modified organisms
CERTIFICATE ANIMAL FRIENDLY
CERTIFIED BY
PETA
American organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is the biggest organisation for protection of animals in the world with more than 5 million members and supporters.
DESCRIPTION
The project “Beauty without bunnies” is aimed at reducing the exploitation of animals in the cosmetics industry. Cosmetic companies that operate ethically are awarded the PETA-Cruelty free certificate, which guarantees that raw materials or products have not been tested on animals, and the PETA-Cruelty free and vegan certificate, which guarantees that the product is vegan.
Despite the standards, the quality of a certified organic product depends on the proportion of organic ingredients in the product, which fluctuates from 95% to 100% or only 30% (some foreign certificates). Therefore, if you read the labels you can be sure how many ingredients in the product are truly organic!

What ingredients does Amon mix into the products?
Oils, butters and waxes*
MORE
Cold pressed, unrefined oils and butters, obtained through pressing of plants and nuts (jojoba, coconut, cocoa, argan, olives, etc.) and pressing of small seeds (blackberries, blackcurrant, elderberry, wheagerm, etc.). Oils purified with natural processes (palm oil, shea butter and coconut oil). We use authentic carnauba wax obtained from carnauba palm.
*certified organic
Essential oils and hydrolates*
MORE
We use the purest, food grade essential oils, mostly freshly delivered, directly from distilleries. Essential oils are unique, concentrated essences obtained by steam distillation of flowers, leaves, needles, stems, bark, wood, resin, roots, seeds, or by pressing citrus peels, which also produces a milder hydrolate or “floral water”.
*certified organic
Herbs and plant extracts*
MORE
We use herbal powders (cinnamon, turmeric, etc.) and different plant extracts (water, alcohol, oil and CO2) for skin care, as natural dyes or for taste improvement. CO2 extracts are herbal plant extracts obtained through modern carbon dioxide technology. It enables low temperature extracts, where the maximum possible amount of active ingredients from plants is preserved.
*certified organic
Natural minerals
MORE
Natural minerals (baking soda, clays, calcium carbonate, ipd.) can be found in nature. However they are not of agricultural origin and cannot be counted into the proportion of organic ingredients in the product. The used mineral ingredients are of pharmaceutical quality, while baking soda is food grade.
Water
MORE
We use distilled water or water filtered through reverse osmosis. Because it is not of agricultural origin, it cannot be counted into the proportion of organic ingredients in the product.
Plant derived substances*
MORE
Are obtained from plant raw materials and processed with natural methods such as: pressing, drying, milling, distillation, separation, hydrolisis. I.e. plant based alcohol (wheat/grapes), cane sugar (sugar cane plant), corn starch (corn), glycerine (karanja plant oil), etc. Xanthan gum (wheat) is the only uncertified organic plant based substance that we use, and we use it only in toothpaste.
