Organic essential oil CLOVE BUD is obtained by steam distillation of clove buds – Eugenia caryophyllus. It comes into Amon & Anis bottles directly from organic plantations in Madagascar. This essential oil is certified organic & food grade – Bio Aroma.
The warm, pungent and oriental scent of cloves is uplifting and invigorating. We know it as a flavouring in compotes and drinks that brighten up the greyness of winter, and in the preparation of homemade fruit jams. A little less well-known fact is that clove essential oil saved European lives during the outbreak of infectious diseases in the past. Its multifaceted power is reflected in its antibacterial and analgesic effects, so it is not surprising that it has been used for toothache for centuries and today it is also found in toothpastes and oral hygiene products. The reason for this is its high content of eugenol, which, due to its strength, also requires CAUTION when using.

We recommend the base oil to be unrefined, cold pressed and of organic quality. The best and most common choice are jojoba, olive, sesame, almond or coconut oil.

Besides the pleasant aroma, many essential oils also have antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, which is why they are added to cleaning products, detergents, for laundry and air fresheners.
