Organic BENZOIN extract is obtained by alcoholic extraction of benzoin resin – Styrax benzoin. The resin of this tree comes into Amon & Anis bottles directly from organic plantations in Laos, to which organic alcohol is added. This extract is certified organic & food grade – Bio Aroma.
The sweet, warm scent of benzoin reminds us of vanilla, with an added balsamic, musky note. Due to its pleasant scent, it is often used in perfumery, and its nourishing effects encourage its use in products for problematic, dry, cracked, hard and generally problematic skin, as it can help restore the skin’s protective layer. Benzoin resin is a common ingredient in cold and cough remedies and oral hygiene products.

– CULINARY USE –
We can use food-grade extracts to flavor drinks, syrups, cakes, pies, cookies, dough, chocolate, candies, compotes, jams, fillings, spreads, sauces, salad dressings, and flavored oils.

We recommend the base oil to be unrefined, cold pressed and of organic quality. The best and most common choice are jojoba, olive, sesame, almond or coconut oil.
